100,000 Years of Evolution in Planetary Life, a Spore-Like God Sim Game
I played 100,000 years in Planetary Life, and by the end of the video I had over 250 species thriving.
In this video of Planetary Life Gameplay, I start by focusing on the fundamentals: making a habitable planet. I start by using enough comets to cover the surface with 30%+ water.
Water is essential for all initial life-form, but it also helps us unlock tasks for Cosmic Energy. After the planet is satisfactory, I created a couple of plant lifeforms which started to spread.
Once vegetation started to cover a large area, it was time to evolve and mutate our first animal creatures.
Then, we let magic happen. The planet thrives through random mutations and evolutions. Over 10 real life hours and 100,000 years in-game, I interacted very little (when necessary), whilst thousands of mutations happened in the background.
At the end, we look at the result of how our creatures and plants evolved throughout history.

The Planetary Life Demo is available on steam for free. It features only one of the available stages, with the game having cell and civilization stages when it releases.
This game is reminiscent of SimEarth and Spore.
