Currently running this week, CCF (Creature Collector Fest) offers discounts on hundreds of monster taming games. Demos for several indie and upcoming games are available for FREE.
Here are my favourites so far:
BOBO BAY
Bobo Bay is a Chao Garden inspired pet simualtor where you raise, accessorise, and train Bobos to compete in trials. Each bobo has 8 stats which are used in competitions, such as climbing, swimming, running, and even brawling!
The Alpha Demo is a lot of fun, and as a creator I got my hands on a creator exclusive Playtest, which I have already played for 36 hours! Coming in 2026, it is a must buy!
AETHERMANCER
Aethermancer is a roguelite collector with permadeath features. Since the Steam Next Fest, the demo has been updated and introduced two new monsters.
From Monster Sanctuary's developers, Moi Rai Games, Aethermancer is a promising game with deep team-building. Having played multiple normal and heroic runs over 17 hours, it's a must-try!
MONSTER MERCHANT SIMULATOR
Amongst the Simulator Craze like TCG Card Shop Simulator, we now have Monster Merchant Simulator!
Hatch monsters from eggs, put them on sale and make money! There's more though. Chop down trees and build your own Battle Arena for customers to battle... right in your backyard!
MONSTER CARE SIMULATOR
Another simulator game, which is already available in Early Access, is Monster Care Simulator. You get to take care of dirty and frozen monsters from customers. Clean them up, heal them in your garden, pick up their poop, and keep them happy until their owners come back to pick them up.
BOOK OF ABOMINATIONS
A lovecraftian-themed monster taming game, Book of Abominations offers a short demo to highlight the core gameplay.
Use Rituals to capture new monsters and battle a boss in this turn-based JRPG!
