Many players were amazed just how good the Command and Conquer strategy game had worked on PS1, so it was no surprise that its sequel Red Alert was also soon ported to the system ! This game is an absolute classic, that is best enjoyed on PC, but the PS1 version also does the job surprisingly well with the gamepad !

Compared to the original game, there are more available units per faction, this time including naval and aerial units ! The story is told through epic cutscenes, which are often quite comical ! Unlike the 1st game, it featured a link-up mode in which 2 Playstations could be linked to play 1vs1 against a friend on another TV screen, which was pretty incredible at the time!

The game only features 28 missions, as the missions from the expansions were released as a separate game on PS1 called Red Alert : Retaliation, but it did have a new skirmish mode! All in all, this game is definitely superior to the original game !
