152 (Short Horror Sat.): New Year's Gonna Call GHOSTBUSTERS II (DOS)

A New Year's special, chosen by fans through a Twitter poll. I have a go at one of my boxed DOS games, not realizing when I created the poll that Ghostbusters II is SET ON NEW YEAR'S EVE. A surprising amount of content and speech and good visuals for a late 80s action game. Slime charged by unpleasant feelings is building up beneath New York. Facing opposition from both the local government and the other world, can the Ghostbusters get out of debt, conduct research with a CD player, hijack the Statue of LIberty, and prevent an evil painting from taking over the world, all before midnight?
_I_ certainly can't! The minigames vary in difficulty (using a mouse makes some waaay easier), but it takes plenty of practice to beat. Reading the manual helps. I still never managed to get the statue to the museum before the timer ran out, even using the included map. A fun game to try, even if I don't think I'll keep practicing and beat it.
I show off the box and its contents, and we end the stream with something I might make into a New Year's tradition. Remember when I played Twitch Sings the day before it was discontinued, for one of my first official streams? Unlikely, since I had maybe three viewers! I saved my Twitch Sings rendition of Auld Lang Syne from 2020, and we watch it again to see 2021 off.
Who you gonna call? Well, if that inexplicable topless lady in the dressing room is single . . . (JEEZ, Ghostbusters II, I know you predate the ratings system, but MUST WE?)
