Step into the twisted world of "Dead of the Brain," a classic visual novel adventure developed by Fairytale and released in 1992 for the NEC PC-98. We dive into the dark, chilling narrative of this cult horror game. "Dead of the Brain" combines elements of science fiction, horror, and suspense, drawing inspiration from the likes of George Romero's zombie films, and delivers a gripping, grotesque story that pushes the boundaries of 90s adventure games.

The plot revolves around a mad scientist who successfully creates a reanimation drug which he's been testing. There is no way of this unleashing a nightmare of flesh-eating zombies on the world. As we navigate the tense and gruesome scenarios and uncover clues, the game’s eerie atmosphere and disturbing visuals immerse us in a world of survival horror. Fairytale, known for its mature-themed visual novels, created a memorable experience with this title, blending point-and-click gameplay with an intense, story-driven plot. Plus their president had recently been arrested for the more "sultry" games that they needed to more onto something more classic, like big violence.
