After replaying Dark Souls 1 recently, this section is one of the most noticable areas for improvement: No more slippery ledges of death in this game. Wittling down the giant is really annoying with bad aim, but it's pretty simple to find exploits when you aren't dealing with them in the mud. The giant spider is also nowhere near as difficult as I expected.
