4This is a 1 loop clear of Mega Zone, made by Konami and relesed in arcades in 1983.
Great little shooter I hadn't heard of before it was selected for the Mamemeisters Highscore Kerfuffle.
Hitbox is pretty big, but standard for a 1983 shooter, but it just plays so well. Collect the brown riverturds (12) to get the MEG powerup, making your hitbox even bigger but gives you extra shot power. I'd say this is a memorizer shmup as you really have to know what comes up next, and where, in order to survive.
The game does change things up though as I've noticed that some sections are not always the same. Oh! and it has branching paths. On your journey you will encounter small islands and you can go either left or right and the screen will scroll to different areas.
