This is a 1 credit clear of Ridge Racer, Intermediate course, made by Namco and relesed on arcade in 1993.

I saw this game in the arcades not long after Sega Rally was released in 1995. I never gave it a try as it looked so intimidating. H-pattern shifter AND a clutch!? No way, I went straight for the sega racers.

But Ridge Racer is a really solid game. Compares a lot to eht PS1 version. The graphics are obviously a lot better on arcade but the handling and drift mechanics are the same. Only other difference I can tell is that the car has body roll when you take corners. I don't remember the PS1 version having that.
