In Northern Ireland 2 Royal Irish held their St Patrick's Day Parade at Thiepval Barracks in Lisburn.

In a break with tradition they celebrated it at the weekend so the whole Battalion could parade together for the first time since 1997.

Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant of County Antrim inspected the troops.
