A brand new command has been formed in one of the biggest shake-ups of the Army's structure in decades.

Force Troops Command will oversee 45 percent of the Army's equipment and almost half of the Reserve force - some 14000 soldiers who will work alongside almost 22,000 regulars.

By the end of 2015 it will be one of the largest formations in the Army.

It will be called upon to provide specialist expertise to support deploying Reactive, Adaptive and Joint Forces.
