Two of the RAF's University Squadrons have been battling it out in the 'War of Woodvale'.

The annual competition has been fought for more than 60 years, between rival teams from Greater Manchester and Liverpool.

It is named after the only Royal Air Force base in the North West of England - RAF Woodvale.

Over the two days, they competed in a variety of sports but it's the football they are most passionate about.
