It's is the year 2203.05.22 and while the HCS Shinohara under captain Jeanette Bosquet is exploring nearby stars we made first contact with the League of Immuthan Constituents. First contact! The aliens seem friendly enough and their technological progress is comparable. Well met, but like we they settle on continental worlds. So a future conflict for territory seems quite likely and we must not get deceived by their apparent peaceful attitude and prepare to defend Human space.

Towards the outher galactic rim there is another civilization - the Diri Democratic Colonies. They pretend to be peaceful as well, but just in case we secured the Rantemario system with an outpost station. The aliens have to understand this is rightfully Human space.

Meanwhile another more Human threat endangers our interstellar trade routes and mining stations. Rouge elements calling themselves Shipjackers have converted a number of civilian freighters into improvised star ships and perform raids from an unknown base of operations. The 1st fleet under Admiral Tshanduko Ndungwane has been sent to deal with those pirates permanently.

-------------------------

We are playing the Human Commonwealth on insane difficulty in a huge spiral Galaxy (1000 stars). Other galaxy settings are on standard. Our humans are intelligent, weak and quick learners. The government is indirect democracy with a focus on individualism and fanatic materialism. Our FTL method is hyperspace travel.
