Valisthea is a world divided by six nations. It is powered by Crystals and Dominants, which are humans that host each nation's Eikon. Tensions between the nations escalate as a magical drought dubbed the Blight begins consuming the land. Clive Rosfield, guardian to his younger brother, Joshua, witnesses his kingdom destroyed and becomes involved in the growing conflict between Valisthea's nations and the secret power behind the war tied to the dark Eikon Ifrit.
With their sights on the Mothercrystals, Clive, Cid and Jill navigate through the catacombs beneath the Imperial Capital, determined to see their mission through. Even if it means playing the role of the villain.
