2009 Salt Lake City Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lites West Championship (Final Round)
This is the 8th and final round of the 2009 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lites West Championship from Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, UT.
Returning Supercross Lites West contenders like Jake Weimer, Lites Sophomore Dan Reardon, Ryan Morais, Ryan Dungey, defending Lites East champ Trey Canard, Justin Brayton, Kyle Cunningham, and defending champ Jason Lawrence battle it out for the 2009 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lites West Championship. This series features a season-long battle between Ryan Dungey and Jake Weimer. This is the first Supercross visit to Salt Lake City since 2004. Defending Lites West champ Jason Lawrence has his (already troublesome) Supercross season ended by the AMA after what took place at Jacksonville with Team Yamaha's Broc Hepler; the end result was a $10,000 fine, Jason being suspended for the last 2 rounds of the season, and having his probation extended to May 2010. Defending Lites East champ Trey Canard wins his first race of the season, but Ryan Dungey is the real winner that night with his first professional Supercross Lites Championship, and Suzuki's first Lites title since Branden Jesseman won the East series in 2003.
Enjoy.
