2013 Best Performances: #13 Gurenlian Goes 17/22 at Face-Off X
58The Charlotte Hounds learned the hard way why Greg Gurenlian is nicknamed the "Beast." Gurenlian dominated the Hounds at the faceoff "x," going 17 of 22, which translates to 77% on the day. As if that wasn't enough, Gurenlian topped off the day with an assist in a tough loss against playoff-bound Charlotte.
The rest of 2013: Gurenlian dominated in the dot once again, going 232-362 on the year. His 64.1% is now the all-time single-season record, passing Paul Cantabene's 63.3% set back in 2004. The "Beast" now ranks fourth all-time in faceoffs won, thanks in large part to his huge performance against Charlotte and strong 2013 season.
