The Order 1886 released February 20th 2015 to a muddy and mostly negative reception, focusing on lack of meaningful interaction and short campaign length.
Nearly 10 years later, many releases with similar game length and cinematic visuals have succeeded were The Order 1886 failed. But why? Was it the timing of its release, the unfamiliar territory in which it was positioned or the premium price tag?
If you haven’t played The Order 1886 by now, you really should. It was worth the little time it occupies your screen and for something with so much character and lore inside, it’s a shame it only got one shot.
