426Yamaha MT-09SP has Lightweight blue 10-spoke wheels featuring MT-09 SP graphics and blue stitching on the seat complete the look.
Other aesthetic features include aggressive LED twin-eye headlights, LED position lights, a swingarm mounted licence plate holder and a special LCD instrument panel displaying white information against a black background.
Complementing Yamaha’s 847cc three-cylinder torque-rich crossplane engine, which makes 115hp, is an extensive electronics package. Again mimicking the MT-10 SP, this includes a quick shift, assist and slipper clutch, switchable traction control and D-MODE adjustable engine character.
Suspension on the lightweight aluminium frame and swing arm is accounted for by newly designed rebound and compression damping front forks and an Öhlins rear shock, offering high levels of adjustability via an easily accessible remote adjuster.
Yamaha said of the new model: ‘Featuring a high standard specification that includes Öhlins equipment as well as dedicated colouring and unique finishing, the radical new MT-09 SP builds on the significant strengths of the MT brand, and takes the Hyper Naked riding experience to a new extreme.’
It will be available from January.
