2021 iPad Pro M1 - 16:9 HDMI video output?
2021 iPad Pro M1 will it 16:9 HDMI video output
In this video I'm discussing one specific point about Apple's new 2021 iPad Pro M1, will it have a 16:9 video aspect ration on its HDMI video output.
With the change to Thunderbolt for the iPad Pro M1, what are the video output possibilities going to be?
Thunderbolt itself is capable of many video resolutions over HDMI, such as 1080P 4K UHD 5K 8K etc. and also capable of many frame rates such as, 60FPS, 120FPS 144FPS etc.
So, the question is, will Apple finally have a proper scaled output for the GUI interface of the 2021 iPad Pro M1and give us 16:9 as the HDMI output aspect ratio.
Given that the Apple Silicon M1 chip in the 2021 iPad Pro basically gives us an MacBook Air M1 or MacBook M1 with the only real difference being a lack of keyboard. And also bearing in mind that the Macbook Pro and Air M1 both give a 16:9 aspect ratio when connecting to external 16:9 TV and monitors. It really is about time that we had the same for the iPad Pro 2021 M1.
Imagine having your iPad Pro M1 home screen/desktop in 4K 16:9 on a high quality 4K monitor and being able to finally see all your apps correctly scaled to 16:9 and with mouse and keyboard compatibility.
Playing iOS games on the 2021 iPad Pro M1 in upscaled 4K in a native 16:9 aspect ratio over Thunderbolt to HDMI would quite simply make the iPad Pro M1 even more appealing. No matter what, I will be doing a load of gaming on the iPad Pro M1 and will do a whole load of gameplay videos on the 2021 iPad Pro M1. I will defo post some iPad Pro M1 gaming videos on this channel but will probably do most of my 2021 iPad Pro M1 gaming videos on my gaming channel at www.TheGameThing.com
It would also be fantastic to use video editing software in full 16:9 and other production apps such as DAW and music software like Steinberg's Cubasis in full 16:9.
As soon as I receive my iPad Pro M1 I will be trying out some USC C hubs with HDMI for the iPad Pad M1 and I will also be trying a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter for the 2021 iPad Pro M1.
