Happy 30th to Doom! It has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I could never explain enough the impact it has on me. But thank you to the whole community for keeping it alive.
I am honestly very intimidated by this wad. It is uncharted territory for speedrunners, and from the previews I have given myself, it will hold challenges greater than anything I've faced so far. Not only that, but the map quality is also leagues better than most else I've played. By the end of this, I am sure this map will be considered one of the easy ones, but right now it is already a jump in difficulty. This map requires some very efficient berserk usage to get through quickly, in addition to whatever infighting you are lucky enough to incite. My strategy was to rush through and get all the secrets in the first area while causing as much infighting as possible to do the heavy work, and then clean up the stragglers. Probably could've had better rocket usage, but no matter where you are there is always heavy risk when firing one here. Once again, pretty heavy on the imp turrets, but I think they are pretty threatening here and not just a waste of time so I'll give it a pass. I love using berserk so it wasn't too much of a problem for me, but I could see this being a big roadblock for someone not accustomed to it.
