I am loving how these maps consistently just get better. Not only that, but they feel connected in way, moreso than the rest of the wad. Likely due to this being such a strong visual theme. 2022ado as a whole I would say is a wad that is greater than the sum of it parts, but that is especially true for the Sigil maps. As an experience together it is some of the best mapping I have seen, and THE best mapping I have seen for a Doom 1 wad. It all holds a feeling of beauty, mystery, hopelessness, and all the hardcore action of the original Sigil. It has the action of Sigil and the emotional weight of Odyssey. It is all amplified by Jimmy's midis, and it wouldn't be the same without them. This is my favorite one so far. I may be a bit biased due to how much I enjoy berserk combat and this map gives a lot of opportunity to, but I have plenty reason besides that. The atmosphere is incredible of course. The first whole area is a great arena that was quite challenging and I really enjoyed. Those grid shaped sections that open up and connect in the back with teleporters is very unique, and also looks very cool. I imagine that is just Baphomet showing off his powers within his own realm you are trapped in. He can tear this world apart in sections as a way to summon his minions. Maybe far fetched, but the way that area completely floods with monsters suddenly is unforgettable. Then you enter the chapel area which is good fun and quite a lot easier. My only complaint is the final area, just because that cyberdemon is very inconsistent. If he isn't infighting when you are trying to get to the invuln, you are pretty screwed. I got very lucky this run with him being cornered and bullied by barons. Fighting him without invuln is incredibly difficult in that area with all the other monsters in there and I do not recommend.
