Lamborghini debuts the new Huracán Sterrato at Art Basel Miami Beach: the first super sports car designed for maximum driving pleasure even off the asphalt on loose or dirt surfaces.
The driving dynamics of the Huracán Sterrato have been optimized for perfect control in all environments from the highway to dirt roads. In comparison to the Huracán evo, the Sterrato features an updated version of the Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics system, with specific STRADA and SPORT calibrations, as well as the introduction of the RALLY mode for low-grip conditions to the Huracán line.
From the first glance, the exterior expresses the Sterrato's daring spirit. The ground clearance has been increased by 44 mm over the Huracán Evo to allow for more suspension travel, as have the front 30 mm and rear 34 mm track widths respectively. In addition to protecting the car's body, the aluminum front underbody protection, reinforced sills, rear diffuser, and sturdy wheel arches all contribute to its muscularity. The classic air intake located on the rear hood not only adds to the model's sporting spirit, but it also helps supply clean air to the engine when driving on dusty roads.
The Huracán Sterrato is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 618 Horsepower and 560 newton-meters of torque at 6,500 R-P-M, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and electronically controlled all-wheel drive with a mechanical self-locking differential at the rear. It is designed to perform best on unpaved and sandy surfaces, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 160 mph.
The car has ventilated and cross-drilled carbon-ceramic discs and aluminum fixed Monoblock calipers with six pistons front and four pistons rear. It comes with 19 inch wheels that are exclusively fitted with custom-engineered Bridgestone Dueler tires, which provide maximum versatility and adaptability for any condition and surface while contributing to the car's feeling, emotion, and fun to drive. These tires feature run-flat technology, which guarantees a minimum of 80km at 80 kilometers per hour with 0 pressure in the event of a puncture. These custom Bridgestone tires were created to match 100% of the car's DNA, including an innovative pattern design and a cutting-edge compound that provides a perfect grip on both gravel and tarmac while maintaining excellent handling and high-speed performance.
The interiors, which feature exclusive Alcantara Verde Sterrato upholstery, reflect the Huracán line's feel like a pilot philosophy, which places the driver in the center of the passenger compartment for the ultimate driving experience and complete control of all the car's features. The Human Machine Interface has new graphics and special driving features, including a digital inclinometer with pitch and roll indicator, a compass, geographic coordinate indicator, and steering angle indicator for the first time.
Lamborghini Connect includes Amazon Alexa integration, allowing you to control navigation, phone calls, and entertainment with a simple voice command, as well as adjust car features like air conditioning and lighting. The car can also be controlled remotely via the Lamborghini Unica app, which includes features such as remote speed monitoring and sending a destination directly to the navigation system.
The production run is limited to 1,499 units only, production will begin in February 2023.
