I forgot that all I really gotta do to unlock the stuff I want--the "regular" versions of Akuma and Rugal, their rainy stage (I mean, I wouldn't object to the firey one, but it wouldn't be worth it), and Groove Edit Mode--is beat one or the other of them in Arcade mode. Well that's easy! Neat. Then afterwards I can do stuff like random Vs CPU. I think what I'll do for randomizing team size is just roll a d6: 1-3 is 3 people, 4-5 is two, and 6 is solo.

Arcade mode might actually offer the decent challenge though, I'll have to crank that up and try it.
