Not just early coal, there are several doom spirals to be mitigated through the 248k late game.

Green & red chips, uranium too. Lack of a healthy surplus could end a run. The beacon core spirals were already on my radar, then one found me. This re-enactment outlines the fix, rushed but sufficient. I should cover the fusion powergrid version too - not accidentally - it's a vastly more challenging recovery.
