20Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst is an Open World Action Platformer developed by EA DICE. The game could be regarded as a prequel of it’s previous title in the franchise or a soft reboot of the same. As far as settings go, the game centers on a runner named Faith Connors on her adventures and experiences in the city of Glass and her encounters against the Kruger Sec and its CEO Gabriel Kruger.
The game was given praised due to its improved character designs and graphics and improved movement and parkour mechanics. However, negative criticisms also were noted to its rushed plot, terrible fighting mechanic, very uninteresting side missions and side characters as well as the open world design being plain and lifeless. Personally, I too enjoyed its movement and parkour mechanics but the fighting gameplay needs improvement. I also felt that the open world genre is not fitting for this game. However, I liked the overall characters of this game and their character design. Overall, a kinda disappointing but still a fun game to play. Enjoy the walkthough!
