27 The end
... and that's it. We've reached the end of the game (to be continued in Dreamfall Chapters). This ending is, I have to say, probably one of the grimmest endings I've ever experienced. Now, Tecnobabylon and Primordia do deliver a mighty punch to the gut as well (btw, Technobabylon will be my next LP; uploads will start in a few days), but asking a 10-year-old girl to... well... die, so we can all have stable internet? Look, it's all there for you to see, anyway. I'll summarize a few things below; consider that list a great mass of spoilers until the credits start to roll.
Note that I may make some... factually challenged statements on the contents of my channel, specifically the presence of (J)RPGs. Xenosaga and Shining Force completely slipped my mind at the moment, heh! Summoner too, amazingly. So, yeah, there are in fact RPGs. If you want me to do LPs of other RPGs, make suggestions. How would you feel about I Am Setsuna? I know others are LPing that game, but they do it differently than I would. Also, I'm looking into ways to do Shining Force 3 - the fan translation project is that far along! I have hit some... unfortunate set-backs, though - so who knows? Maybe they'll have all three games fully translated by the time I figure this out.
PLOT THREAD SUMMARY, spoilers galore:
April Ryan: Dead.
Reza: Although he makes an appearance in the epilogue, there are... questions. In Chapters, though, he's quite alive and well.
The Undreaming: Unaccounted for, presumed to be out of control. More details will be provided in Dreamfall Chapters Book 5. (Though probably not by me.)
Kian Alvane: Arrested, but not executed before Chapters starts. His story arc resumes at Friar's Keep.
DreamNet/DreamCore: The technology is finalized and brought to the consumer market. Will steal people's souls and/or minds well into Chapters...
Zoë/The Dreamer: Comatose for a good long while, induced by her own mother. Until certain events in Chapters, she will remain trapped in Storytime. I don't remember the exact explanation for why or how, but she's made to forget the events of Dreamfall.
Na'ane: Only April and Kian know that she sold out April to the Azadi, and Kian hasn't told anyone. She walks away, scot free, to return in Chapters.
Faith: Now dead both in body and mind, due to our efforts. Cheers... She isn't completely written out of the story, though, as there is a revelation involving her in Chapters Book 5, IIRC.
The White Dragon: It is implied that the Dragon was killed, and cutscenes in Chapters Book 5 will confirm this.
The rebels: Still in a bad way, and now they've lost both April and a 'safe' village. Somehow, the rebellion is still a thing in Chapters.
