#291 Fatal Fury Wild Ambition (ARC) Hidden Characters (2/2): Geese Howard (suit costume) gameplay.
Gameplay of Geese in his hidden suit costume, in the arcade version of SNK's Fatal Fury Wild Ambition.

Geese Howard is the final boss of the game, and though initially hidden is in fact selectable from the start. Because his icon appears when you unlock Li Xiangfei, they decided to add an extra bonus to the game and allow you to use his iconic suit outfit, seen in both the earlier Fatal Fury games as well as much of its promotional material. It's a really nice touch, and I'm glad they did it. It is quite odd to have an arcade fighting game where you manually unlock things (given that such things are almost always time-released) but I quite liked it. He doesn't play different from regular Geese, but it's a nice bonus anyhow. Because this is a sort of reboot of Fatal Fury 1, Geese has an odd combination of powers, such as a single reppuken, but also his jaei-ken, shippuken, and of course his counter moves. A decent character in an otherwise lacklustre game.
To unlock Geese's suit costume:
1) Complete the game with all 11 default characters, including Geese, who is selectable by moving right from Billy Kane's Icon. Then, at the title screen, hold A + B + D and press start. Li Xiangfei will now be selectable, and Geese's icon will appear on the character select screen too. Hold start when highlighting Geese's icon, and press any button to select him.

2) Download my own NVRAMs for Wild Ambition and Buriki One here:

Extract the files, add the folders with the NVRAM files to your own NVRAM folder and allow them to overwrite your own NVRAM. Start up the game on MAME, and you'll be able to play as Li Xiangfei, and Geese in his suit costume by holding start when highlighting his icon and pressing any button.
There's no footage of this one either for some reason, but I guess people just aren't that interested in doing Hyper Neo Geo 64 videos, which is fair enough considering the emulation isn't complete yet. Still, time waits for no man, and I'd prefer to have footage on youtube for proof (one of my reasons for starting these videos) and then go and do a proper playthrough at a later date when the emulation is significantly better.
