3 Awesome Features of iOS 9.3
0iOS hasn't thrilled me for years, but we usually don't get big features until major revisions are released. iOS 9.3 looks to be bringing with it new options that I should be able to use immediately, including Night Shift - to better set my iPhone screen to cast a less-blue tone to help sleep patterns (according to research). Having a Secure Note feature is also a bonus, though one I am not inclined to use outright (simply due to how I manage notes). Most people do not secure simple information like they should, so it's good to see Apple once again saving users from themselves. There are certainly going to be a few more nips and tucks, but I'm not expecting to see any dramatic improvement in raw perf - which is what iOS has suffered from for years. Apple has yet to address these types of shortcomings, but it's also been demonstrated that iOS drops more frames than it used to generations ago. If I had to pick a third interesting feature coming in iOS 9.3, it would be the addition of a toolset for iPad in educational environments. It may not impact me directly, but if it enables schools to better engage students, then we all win as a society.
