3 Technologies I'm Not Excited to See or Use
0#tech advances with every passing year, though rarely is it seen as revolutionary. "Evolutionary" #tech is interesting, certainly - but I don't always get swept up in gimmicks (which is replete in the consumer #tech industry). We are living in an era of #tech abundance, which is in stark contrast to how it used to be when I was substantially younger. Some are getting excited over 360 degree video, but it seems to have a limited range of applications (fun, yes, but not something that'll replace everything that currently stands today). Some are excited over VR (Virtual Reality), but every one of my VR experiences ended up giving me a massive headache and nausea; I'm not excited about having to take a pill every time I want to use a product. Until every aspect of VR addresses the motion sickness problem, I'll probably remain on the sidelines being not-sick. I'm also not terribly interested in the Internet-of-Things / "smart" devices, largely because they're being rushed to market, constructed with little care for security, and generally not very interoperable.
