We meandered our way into the Ruined Battlefield and deeper into the Shadow-Cursed Lands, where evil spirits lurked in the gloom. Despite the ambushes, we made it to Last Light Inn and met the legendary Jaheira. We also reconnected with Dammon (affectionately known as Darren), who managed to give Karlach’s infernal engine a much-needed fix—finally allowing us to touch her without roasting our fingers. However, he also brought grim news: her engine’s instability means she’s on borrowed time unless she returns to Avernus. Bittersweet progress.
