勇者30 (Yuusha 30/Half-Minute Hero) - Quest.15: カイゾクの宝島 - Retiring in Bling!
0I should note that the video contains spoilers of the final two Story Mode games. I don't have a video editing program that can censor them. :P
And I think I have my RemoteJoyLite on some funky setting since the game seems to move slower than usual. :/ (I guess I should have dashed more but there's no rush ... unless you're playing for ranks. :P) I tried to give the impression that things were going a bit faster by using frame-skipping when compressing the video file! XD

Since I'm illiterate to Japanese (I know just enough to get through games that aren't text heavy), it took me a while to figure out how to clear the quest with the カイゾク王 (Pirate King) objective. I knew I had to find 3 things but the point that I kept missing was that each item (crests/emblems, apparently) can only be found at certain times.
The wood one can be obtained between 30 and 20 seconds.
The headstone one appears between 20 and 10 seconds.
The one from the ship requires you to wait until 10 seconds or less.
Getting all three emblems allows you access to the pirate cave that contains the treasure! :O
Then stuff happens and you don't have to fight the boss. AND you're given the chance to quit your quest to stop the evil brewing in the world to live in wealth and luxury. Note: It's an 8:2 split where the Goddess of Time gets 80% of the money. :P I actually find it hilarious that she's such a cheery, money-greedy character. If you look at the official artwork for the goddess, she seems so mature and .... normal.
Oh yeah, if you have morals and are a responsible hero, you should choose no and continue with the game. :P
I actually forgot how to get the first objective in this quest which is グルメ王 (Gourmet(?) King). But! It just checked a Japanese Wiki (http://www.role-playing-game.net/) and it seems like the menu at the food stand in the first village changes depending on the "time of day". Apparently, the hero must eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. ^^
Also, not meeting any of the two objectives typically won't affect gameplay and, as far as I can remember, not required to complete a quest (but there may be exceptions). However, there are some where getting one or another will unlock an alternate path that'll lead you to the final quest.
Finally, the point of this video was really to show the silly illustration at the end. As far as I can see, it's not available for admiring in the Goddess' Room (which is a gallery that allows you to see all the enemies, weapons, evil lords, and illustrations you've fought, bought, and unlocked). Then again, none of the ending illustrations (after completing all of Story Mode excluding the 6th game) are in there either.
BTW, the English in the title is not the quest name. :P It's literally Pirate's Treasure Island.
Another note~! I was perusing the Japanese PSP site for its demos and custom themes and came across Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 3 (Disaster Report 3). It seems to have nice themes without crazy colourful or busy backgrounds so I downloaded what you see at the beginning of the vid. :3
