#317 Tech Romancer Bosses (2/5): Goldibus (First form) playthrough.
A playthrough of the first/ 1st form of the final boss Goldibus in Capcom's Tech Romancer.
Goldibus' moves:
Triple sword slash: A, A, A
Delayed projectiles: b, f + A
Teleport: qcf or qcb + B
Teleport and slash: qcf or qcb + B, then press J after the teleportation begins, and the A button after he reappears.
Sword throw: A + B
Draw in: A + J
Push away: B + J
Dodge and slash: A + D
Dodge and ground wave: B + D
Ground wave: f, b + A + B
So here's Goldibus' first form; a more knightly, paladin-looking design. It's fantastic, looking regal but still intimidating. In this form he doesn't have his super move, but does have the majority of the rest of his moves. Apart from that, he plays just the same as his second form, but might deal/take more damage, I can't tell. This is terra incognito as far as bosses go, so I don't really have the time to check all the specifics.
Also notable is that the second form of Goldibus can only be played through as in Story mode, whereas the first form of him can only be played as in Hero Challenge Mode. Indeed, all other bosses can only be played as in Hero Challenge Mode. I didn't really care for this, because 12 stages with five bosses in total is a little excessive for an arcade mode. However, even the hidden characters can only be played as in this mode, so that's life. With such needless elongation this was why I put off uploading these videos for a few days. I haven't had to spend 20 minutes on a playthrough since dealing with games with 1994, and that'll be the same when I get round to dealing with all the other arcade fighting games out there which aren't from SNK or Capcom.
