We're a young leafcutter colony who has just set up home in the Ecuadorian rainforest. At night, it's very calm, however as soon as day hits, an ant army will be on the march, looking for food. However, something else is hiding. Right at the start (on insane at least), another huge creature will appear, disrupting your harvesting. Your main objective will be to push back the army ant horde. You can do this by killing off their soldiers and making the bar, on the top of your screen, disappear. With challenge mode, another insect lays waiting, waiting for an opportunity to lay its eggs in your wandering ants.
This is a newer video to show off the strategy for the campaign rebalance for the public beta that is occurring and for the future update. If you notice anything different, this is an older version of the beta.

Tips:
- Phorid flies will lay in wait on plants you need to harvest. You can get rid of them using level 3 media or majors, however, for insane, it's not worth getting rid of them. Ignore them as much as possible.
- If you need to get some last-ditch food, send your army to collect from fly infested plants. Note: Do this as a last resort if you really need that last bit of leaf to out harvest the enemy.
- You can choose between stun or taunt majors, in my personal opinion, stun is much better for this. Army ants, including their majors are not immune to stun. The stun can help negate the army ant rage, which will shred all of your ants with ease.
- Since you're not out harvesting any enemy colonies, you won't need as many ants as 3.1. You don't need as many workers, but some 19 or more will be enough for early game. Same applies for media, at least some 20+ to get the game started. As for majors, you will want a lot more or heavily upgraded majors to deal with the army ants and natural enemies.
- The best times to harvest are during the first night, and then the interlude between day and night, as the army ants retreat. During that time, there is a lot less enemies and army ants spawning.
- When the Huge Whip Spider appears, try to trigger it's aoe attack using workers to prevent your media and majors being hit with the aoe themselves and you losing more ants.
- Killing army ant scouts and their reinforcements will count towards the bar. Whenever you can, trigger the scouts, let them escape and kill those reinforcements. To make that easier, you might want to make 2 chambers of majors, one for attacking the main enemy army, the other for dealing with scouts.
- You should spend the first day and first night collecting leaves to build up your army. That should be plenty of time to make a decent force to take on the army ants on day 2.

(Rebalance):
- The Huge Whip Spider has received a mass buff. From its previous 4,000 health, it now has 22,000 health on insane.
- You do the same thing as usual, bait out its first aoe attack and charge in.
- You will want to have at least 500 food in reserve for the fight. You won't be able to kill it before it does another aoe attack, so having some more food in reserve can help you continue the fight.
- The addition of titan climbing made the fight a little easier, with extra DPS from the mounted ants.
