Pros:
- You can see your cosmetics now!
- The camera is adjustable and your crosshair remains accurate (for the most part, see con#2)
- You can quickly switch between 1st and 3rd person with the F1 key (can be reassigned too)

Cons:
- You still have ironsights, it is not replaced with a 3rd person zoom-in like in other 3rd person shooters
- Occasionally, your shots refuse to register in 3rd person unless you switch to ironsights
- If you place your camera too low, Lilith's Phoenix Wings get in the way (default is best)
- A lot of people seem to mess up the installation of this mod, so read the instructions carefully! (but if you're somewhat familiar with mod installation, you should be fine)

A 3rd person mod by LordEmil1 for Borderlands 1 Enhanced recently came out, meaning yes, you can play the game with the camera behind you!

The mod is essentially a block of new lines you must manually copy/paste from a txt file in the mod to a particular BL1 ini file. In order to adjust the camera, you need to make adjustments to up to 3 separate values in a different ini file. I personally found it easy to install and adjust as long as I followed the instructions.
