4 Revolutionary Video Games That Blew Everybody's Minds
In this video I'll show you 4 revolutionary video games that blew my mind when I first played them. These video games either had some really good gameplay mechanics that were ahead of their times, or were pushing the boundaries of the current technology at the time.
For instance, World of Warcraft came out as an MMO-RPG or massively multiplayer role playing game in 2004, and not only could you play it with hundreds of others players online at the same time, the game had no loading screen between zones.
Minecraft came out in alpha and beta in 2011, and you could alter the entire world, which was infinitely generating, by placing blocks where ever you wanted. Minecraft also popularized the survival game genre, which was either non-existent at the time, or just it was just a very niche video game genre.
Zoo Tycoon 2 to this day is one of the best Zoo Management games. It still does some strategy and management aspects of these zoo type of games better, than Planet Zoo or Jurassic World Evolution does. Its expansion, Marine Mania added a bunch of new physics to the game, including ball physics, underwater diving, and overall better water graphics quality.
Against The Storm is a rogue-like city builder, but the game is much more than that. It is extremely complex, however the developers found a way to compress all of that knowledge into tutorials and the encyclopedia in the game. Against The Storm also had an excellent, user friendly user interface.
Other games mentioned in this video are: Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, Age of empires 1, Age of Empires 2, and the other Zoo Tycoon 2 expansions. Also, Pokemon: Scarlet & Violet, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and theHunter: Call of the Wild are mentioned near the end.
