During its PAX East 2019 panel today, Gearbox Software announced the Ultra HD Texture Packs for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands 2.

The Ultra HD Texture Pack is a free visual upgrade which will be made available to both new and existing owners of the aforementioned games on PC, PS4 Pro, and Xbox One X.

On PlayStation 4 Pro, the texture pack will appear as downloadable content on the digital product page for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. Subscribe to the VG247 newsletter Get all the best bits of VG247 delivered to your inbox every Friday!

If you play on PC or Xbox One X, you will have the option to download the texture pack for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2 separately.

You’ll find many of the visual improvements automatically enabled when the Texture Pack is installed. There is no need to manually enable them in the in-game video settings menu. Pretty handy.
