I didn't want to have to make this but, the title speaks for itself.

Ever since purchasing the Elgato 4K60s+ I've had nothing but problems.
the first was that the capture card needed a firmware update in order to allow HDR passthrough from the PS5, once that was sorted I thought everything would be fine...Nope.

Everytime I record using 4K capture utility there's ALWAYS a chance that this "mashing" thing happens, which is a shame because when it works, it's stunning.

However, when recording via the SD card, It's litterly perfection. I've had zero problems with the 4K60s+ when using it this way. I COULD just use the device in standalone mode, but I rely on the flashback recording feature.

I contacted elgato in January, and what followed was 2 months of "send this support file" "do this" "send another file" "now try that" "OK try this". The last time they contacted me was the beginning of march, and since then, NOTHING. They never told me what the issue was either, so I don't know if it's my fault, my laptops fault, or something else. If they told me "you need to wait 6 more months before a fix" I wouldn't mind waiting.

I get that we're in a pandemic, and things take time, but I'd just like a little honesty, some transparency, something other than "try this and I'll get back to you in about 4-6 days".

So yeah, my patience is gone and I'm slightly annoyed (hence the thumbnail).

I'm uploading this to see if anyone else has this issue or is still suffering from this. And for the price of this thing 😱

If this problem gets fixed then I'll take this down, but until then...
