#565 Pit Fighter Bosses (4/8): Chainman Eddie playthrough.
A playthrough of the boss Chainman Eddie in Atari Games' Pit Fighter.
Chainman Eddie looks like yet another Village People reject, sporting what appears to be fetish gear and looking more like something out of Conan the Barbarian, minus the chains of course. He's fought as an opponent in the game, but two of him are also fought in a 2-on-1 battle at the end of the game.
Here's the weird thing though. For some reason, Eddie is the single most broken character in the entire game. He is completely brutal. You see, each character has a running attack (f, f + A). Most of these are rather negligible, providing just a bit of variety to still overwhelming stunted movesets. With the Chainman however, his running headbutt move tears through lifebars like they're nothing. He can regularly take off 2 to 3 bars of health with a single hit of his headbutt charge. And if the opponent isn't knocked down by it, but only knocked away, it means he ends up destroying their entire lifebar in a matter of seconds. It's so weirdly, weirdly brutal, and yet another anomaly in a game already chocked full of them. As a result of this, I decided to do a full playthrough of him, just to show how insanely powerful he is compared to every other character in the game.
