Gameplay of the sub-boss Ron Max in Taito's Violence Fight.

The first boss fought, Ron Max appears to be some kind of Victorian-era Strong Man. But in 1950s America. Yeah, I don't get it either. He's quite powerful, with some body slam attacks as regular moves, doing numerous amounts more damage per hit than the playable characters, but is just as button mash-y as the rest of them too. Nothing too special, but a bit amusing nonetheless, particularly as this game might well have been a direct influence on SFII.

There's also a Tiger bonus boss in the game, who unfortunately can't be hacked. As I know many people are huge fans of animal bosses (including myself), this is rather disappointing, but you can only expect so much from games this old.

And that wraps up Violence Fight. Next up, Mutant Fighter.
