Did you know SomnaBuster started as a shmup demo called Stellar Broom? From there it became a run-and-gun, and then a regular platformer. The shmup section in this stage uses the same mechanics and enemy designs.

Some things about the other 3 arcade rooms:
-The rhythm game area is inspired by DDR, but more specifically, the characters are taken from a game jam project my friends Aurora and Terri made, Jammin' Street. Funny story, one of our playtesters thought those NPC's were my real-life friends.
-The duck area is a Flicky homage of sorts. My older brother basically never plays old games anymore, but he absolutely DESTROYS Flicky whenever he gets the chance to play it. It's always a sight to see.
-The fighting game area is based on a webcomic I made in college. Actually, it's based on a spin-off of a webcomic I made. It's not up anymore, I don't feel all that proud of it, but maybe someday I'll share snippets of it.
