6 Best And Worst Things After 12 Hours With Anthem | Anthem Endgame Impressions
1,162Anthem is here for everyone to play this weekend, and the countdown has begun to the final launch. In this video, we talk about what you can expect from Anthem's Endgame, and piece together all of our impressions from the first few hours, what we played in the VIP demo, and what we played of the endgame.
This still isn't our Anthem review. We've played the game in a very weird order, but we'll have one much closer to launch. However, we are able to discuss how the story develops in the endgame, and take a look at some of the endgame weapons and difficulty levels. It gets tough, and the story seems to blossom. In this video Alice is able to show off all of the shiny javelins, and takes on some very high level missions.
Most of what you're seeing here is coop gameplay, but Alice did dive into a mission on her own during the demo last weekend and let's just say... it didn't end well. What you're seeing here is gameplay from level 1, level 10, and 30, which is endgame. We are looking forward to playing more of the Anthem demo which goes live today, and can't wait to hear more of your thoughts in the comments below.
Anthem customization gets a lot deeper during the endgame, and Alice had the option to choose from 2 loadouts for each javelin, so she picked her favourite - the Interceptor - and the massive and heavy Colossus. Going into some more difficult missions with a beasty javelin, some giant weapons, and getting to hear more of the story towards the end of the game, has changed our feelings about Anthem.
The PC performance differs significantly between the controlled demo and the free-for-all on our home PCs last weekend, and we dive into our concerns surrounding flying and framerates. But don't let that put you off, as we certainly haven't, and this isn't the final build so we still have hope for a better-performing game on release. Maybe with fewer loading screen problems.
Chatting to our favourite NPCs gets a little more interesting too, and Fort Tarsis feels full and lively - even just in the demo.
