Every year, a summit is held for the world's most powerful leaders to come together and fight to determine who's the best. Who is your money on?

This battle was fought with specially-trained amiibo, and the winner was determined solely by the fight. For those of you unaware, amiibo in Smash Bros. are trainable learning AI. The amiibo did not retain any experience gained from any fight, all are unchanged since last year, some even since the year before. The game is a single two-stock round, with no time limit and no items, with knockback set to x1.5 as otherwise the matches can drag. The amiibo fought best-of-three rounds, discounting such matches as ones where an amiibo SDed, sandbagged or otherwise caused an uninteresting fight. Of the games in which the overall match winner triumphed, the most interesting match was selected to be shown. This is to shorten the runtime of the videos, which were quite lengthy first time, while keeping the fairness of the best-of-three system. This fight is not a political statement, and the winner was not predetermined. I did my best to avoid bias, my only goal was to make it an interesting fight to watch. There, that should do it!
The fighters chosen are based on the Group of Seven world leaders at the time of the 2018 G7 summit. The only exception is the inclusion of Paolo Gentiloni, as Italy was unable to decide on a new Prime Minister until after my cut-off point. The EU has a tag team because in the G7 they are represented by both the Council and Commission Presidents. They have been handicapped (50%, after testing, to ensure the fight isn't one-sided), and will play with Friendly Fire on.
The brackets were drawn using josephsworld.com/tts/tourn.html, and fighters were seeded in order of the individual competitor's performance last year, followed by overall lifetime wins, then recency of national host of the summit to settle ties. The bracket generator matches the top seed (Gentiloni, Reigning Champion) with bottom seed (Trudeau, no lifetime wins, and least recent host before this year). No matchups are political statements.
