#608 Battle Arena Toshinden 3 Bosses (2/4): Veil playthrough

Veil is the evil-aligned boss of the game, usually fought by the good-aligned characters at the end of the game. He and Abel are palette-swaps, effectively, but this makes sense as the two of them are actually shotoclones, effectively being parodies of Ryu. An odd choice certainly, but it certainly works pretty well here. Veil indeed is rather clearly supposed to be some kind of Akuma-type character, given his penchants for hadokens, tatsumaki senpuu kyakus, a series of shoryukens and even the ability to teleport at will. He also wields two hand-knife weapons (similar to Voldo from Soul Blade), and has a variety of charging and diving moves at his disposal at . He's pretty goddamn formidable on the whole, especially in regards to his bomb and super moves, which can even cancel into one another for ludicrous amounts of damage! He's a very competent boss on the whole, being an extremely powerful derivative of the usual shotoclone, in contrast to ones we've seen before such as Bonus-Kun in Waku Waku 7. The BAT series never was short on good bosses, that's for sure.
