Army Air Corps crews from 661 Squadron are preparing to return home to Gutersloh tomorrow after their Olympic duty guarding the skies of London.
661's Lynx helicopters were based onboard Britain's biggest warship HMS Ocean, and were sent into action twice during the Games.
Both incidents turned out just to be light aircraft triggering alerts by innocently approaching the no fly zone.
