A double feature of two very different freeware games. CAVEPHOBIA is a brand new 3D game with GPU-straining graphics, done in the found footage VHS-style. Very atmospheric, wandering through a cave where mushroom spores have turned people and animals into hideous monsters. The downsides are, the monsters are fast and persistent, and after I fall down a level , I can't for the life of me find where to go. After wandering around for too long, we move on to the second game.
DON'T LOOK BACK is an old flash game with minimal graphics and colors. Flash may be dead, but this one can be downloaded as an executable from the author's site. It has more of a low-key eeriness than real horror, but as the streamer, I'll allow it! (Seeing it as an option on BacklogCabin's Ouya stream put me in mind of it again, but I had intended to stream it for a while. Chat figures out right around the midpoing what myth the game is based on. A fascinating adaptation!
Highlights include streamer lampooning Unity for being such a GPU-hog, a discussion of the possible interpretation of Don't Look Back, a couple of scares and some running from monsters in the first game, and a raid that leads to us reaching 100 FOLLOWERS. This triggers our second-ever game giveaway, and just like the first time, the person who guesses 69 wins the game. Is this going to be a pattern? -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/purblindgamer
