As promised here is the 8K version. I was very surprised at the final file size. So I will have to go back an look at what the default quality value is for ffmpeg. Sadly Premiere does not have export at 4320x4320 for mp4 and the Quicktime mp4 wrapper I used in After Effect direct export does not working the Adobe encoder. I was able to use a plug-in to create .webm file and the use ffmpeg to export it to MP4, then use the YouTube injector. I hope Youtube looks at adding webm to the 360 injector as well.

If you are interested in the file used you can find it here as 'Infiltrator_Main_Battle4320.mp4' : https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B074uYMTy0feM0JVVnlPaGdaazQ&usp=sharing

Here is the latest test stereo "3D" spherical 360 footage, but only rendered at 2360 x 2360 to save time. Sadly, much more work will need to be done to add missing animations that weren't needed due to the original Matinee's cuts to different cameras and positioning. This is painfully clear in the latter half of the video with repeated cycle of the death blossom moving left to right.

Overall, I find this technique much more immersive and easier on the stomach than moving the camera around. Some of the things to continue to pursue is converting Sequencer/Matinee audio into spatial audio to provide an even more immersive experience. I also feel the new VR editing capability will be very useful here as well and would have made it easier to catch some of the discontinuities including the Infiltrator's missing feet. :/

If you are interested in seeing this completed, let me know. Also if you are interested in the 2360x2360 .mp4 file and other stereo spherical 360 static images from this exercise and other UE4 demos.
