I wanted to talk about Final Fantasy XIII (aka. Final Fantasy 13) for a really long time. I pushed myself to finish the game, you see I played this game when it initially came out BUT I never finished it. I still thinks this game has too many flaws and a lot of criticism I hear is justified but I also think Final Fantasy XIII (Final Fantasy 13) has some good aspects. My problem with Final Fantasy XIII (Final Fantasy 13) is that the combat system is heavily flawed. The reliance on the new Paradigm and Crystarium system shows me that Square tried to make this game more complex than just being a button mashing game like Dynasty Warriors. I still think the Paradigm and Crystarium system are not the best solution and making the world less explorable and less exciting compared to Final Fantasy XII (Final Fantasy 12) didn't helped the situation at all. I think the characters can be likable and the drama can be convincing. The drama around the fate of l'Cie and specifically the fate of Serah Farron really got me and was a great start to the story. I wished we could have seen more of Serah Farron she was more a side side side character if you know what I mean... but the flashbacks did have a bigger and cleaner image of her character. Lightning Farron the main protagonist the older sister of Sarah Farron is well... I like Lightning's design, but her personality is really hard to get used to. She eventually opens up and melts down her cold heart and gets some character development, pretty much every single character gets character development.
