7In today's video we will be talking about Bayonetta 1. This retrospective is made for old and new players, I will not spoil anything major. This is a really unique experience when it comes to the hack and slash genre. Bayonetta is one of those games what a lot of people love but doesn't get the recognition it deserves. If you are unsure if you want to buy Bayonetta 1 or not or if you want to relive your Bayonetta nostalgia, this video is for you! So let's go to a journey and let's discover the beautiful, brutal and lustful world of Bayonetta!
Also when it comes to the whole Hellena Taylor controversy, I didn't wanted to mention it in my retrospective, because it has nothing to do with Bayonetta 1 but with the 3rd game and because is I like focus primarily on the game alone. I will tell you here my opinion about the situation. First of all I want every VA (voice actor, I will use the term VA for now on) to be paid well. Have I said that, I do believe that the original offer of 15-20K bucks not Hellena Taylor's fake 4K story is a great deal. Hellena Tyalor would be paid around 15 to 20K dollars for 4 days/4 hours each day, what would be around 900 dollars an hour that's more than generous for a role like Bayonetta. We found out that Hellena Tyalor lied about her offer what is a shame, who will trust VA's anymore? She just hurt the VA community with this not the comapny Platinum, in fact Bayonetta 3 is selling better becuase of the controversy! What is a shame is when there are real examples of companies taking advantage from VA's a good example would be Jujutsu Kaisen Movie 0, that movie made millions and billions of dollars, do you knmow how much they paid the lead English dub VA for such a big IP? 150 dollars yes 150! not 1500 or 15000 NO, they paid him 150 bucks not more not less, we need stand up against that, not against someone who gets 900 dollars an hour Hellena Taylor! That's my opinion about this whole controversy, I'm just happy that Bayonetta 3 is selling so well, a lot of developers at Platinum worked at it and put they best to deliver a great experience!
