Modifying Your Guns On A Top-down Action Roguelite | M.O.O.D.S. Prologue
6Hello everyone! Another demo of an upcoming game here. This is M.O.O.D.S. Prologue (demo version of M.O.O.D.S.) and it is a top-down action roguelite. I introduced it as a bullet heaven one, but it is not like that, it is the classic type of roguelite. You go through rooms with enemies, you clear it, collect goodies, look for chests, get upgrades and keep killing. There are, so far, four playable characters, each one with different stats, weapons and active skill, and I need to highlight the shield. You have a number of shields, for a certain value; if one of those shields doesn't get fully depleted by the end of a fight, it will replenish itself, but it some of them got depleted, it will only replenish the ones that didn't (reason why I was a bit confused, because it wasn't explained).
Also, over here you don't level up, you get money and ad-ins for your weapons, which you can customize using them (every gun can only have a limited amount, but you can hold as many as you want in your inventory).
Being able to hold different weapons felt unnecessary so far, considering you can combine the ad-ins you are not using to create a different one, that way you prioritize one and the reload doesn't take that long. Skills also felt pretty underwhelming; they don't last long, don't really make a difference and the cooldown is huge.
I overall enjoyed the game and the weapon customization, pretty fun roguelite to try (but I hated that radiation xD).
