A Deckbuilder Roguelite with a Gothic Anime Design | Phantom Rose 2 Sapphire demo
3Hello everyone! Here we go with more demos. This is Phantom Rose 2 Sapphire, a deckbuilder roguelite sequel to another game of the same genre, but, apparently, with different gameplay I haven't played the first one, so I can't talk about it, but this one counts with some really interesting and fresh mechanics. On each turn, you and the enemy will play two cards, the order will be determined at the start (so you will know before playing your cards); there is no energy cost, but there is cooldown, which is taken to the next battle, so you can't (or it wouldn't be advised) be full of powerful cards, because then you won't be able to play them, depending on the cooldown. Basically, you need to balance or look for other ways to reduce cooldown.
The graphic design is clearly inspired by anime with a gothic touch that you can also feel in the music.
Overall I enjoyed the experience, and I gotta add that there will be an Ascension mode in the main game that is pretty similar to the one in Inkbound, working with ranks. Also, there are different playable characters, but I also tried this one so far.
