Tiny Rogues is an Indie, Twin Stick, Action Roguelite Bullet Hell, with a bit of RPG bundled up with its Retro look, along with a Vampire Survivors influence as well.

A Fast, Focused, Retro Roguelite:
From Vampire Survivors, Tiny Rogues takes the pick 1 of 3 random upgrades when you lvl.
Unlike Vampire Survivors, you lvl up here not by killing monsters and collecting their precious souls / orbs/ crystals, but by eating their food!
Yep, you bust into the monsters home, beat em down, and eat their food.
Remember: you’re the hero here!
Food color and type matter here, as Red Meat grants you Strength, while Green Pears grant Dexterity, and Blue Candy Intelligence, with different weapons scaling off different stats, with melee: usually red, Magic = usually blue, and ranged: usually green.

The rooms in Tiny Rogue are somewhat tiny: black squares populated with a few monsters, and sometimes, traps to avoid; they are usually fast to clear.
After clearing a room, you usually get a choice of 2; with the reward for clearing the room above it; like a key, or a piece of blue candy; ok.
There are locked trap doors on the sides of the map; away from the 2 upper doors; they seem to lead to a little treasure room; nice.

Tiny Rogues also auto equips items if you have nothing in the slot; speeding up play, and preventing a bonus being unused.

There are also potions that you can drink that give you powerful abilities for a long time, like a rotating fire shield that chews up enemies, or another that speeds you up for 10 rooms; powerful.
There is a shrine that you can find that grants you 1 extra dash too; very powerful.

Meta Progression:
Tiny Rogues is a Roguelite, with meaty Meta Progression that most will likely require to clear the game.
There are Classes to unlock, Blessings to unlock, and Gifts to unlock.
The later classes, like the cleric or the sorcerer, are much better than the starting Hero, as the cleric has more hp, and heals 3 hp when they enter a new floor, and the sorcerer has a much better ranged weapon.

You get souls depending on how far you got; I got 500 after I died once at the 2nd boss.
Unlike Rogue Legacy, all your souls are kept after a run; letting you bank up to buy classes or the stacking upgrades you want.

The Blessings are powerful, like with an extra lvl, or starting with another healing potion, or taking 1 less hp damage when hit the first time in a boss room; powerful, stacking bonuses that will let you get further, but absent it, most will never complete the game.

The Gifts are things like starting with +35 gold, starting with 3 keys, a tent, which grants an extra 1hp healing after clearing a floor; even more powerful stacking stuff to help you make progress.
You can only have 1 gift going at a time; so choose wisely.

Also, you can turn earned meta progression off if you want; but most players will need it to progress in the game beyond a certain point.

Controller Support is present, and good, while Mouse and Keyboard play is also great.
I went with mouse and keyboard mostly in the above video, as it feels more familiar and faster for me.

Note: Tiny Rogues is in Early Access, thus bugs, incomplete optimization, and other weirdness is possible, but also note, Early Access does not mean not fun.
Tiny Rogues is an Indie, Twin Stick, Action Bullet Hell offering very Fast, Focused, Retro Roguelite runs, and is easily worth a watch.
